"ELELEMNTS"
Inspired by the four classical elements—earth, water, air, and fire—this work reflects on the apparent oppositions that shape both nature and human identity.
Each section of the composition possesses its own materiality, texture, and visual language, emphasizing the unique qualities of every element. At first glance, they appear separated, almost incompatible. Yet a single fracture runs through the entire surface, connecting them into one continuous form.
Rather than representing division, the crack becomes a symbol of relationship. It reminds us that what seems fragmented can still belong to the same whole, and that different forces can coexist without losing their individuality.
The rich materiality of the work—its textured surfaces, layered reliefs, and sculptural elements—reinforces this dialogue between contrast and unity, allowing the painting itself to embody the meeting of different identities.
The Four Elements is ultimately a reflection on integration: just as earth, water, air, and fire exist in balance despite their differences, our own contradictions, emotions, and experiences can become part of a single, authentic identity.
